Bega Lions first vice president Bryson Banfield said at one point there were 200 people at once at the market.
Thirty two stalls were available, with many selling out of their products before the market’s end.
By the end of the day the club had raised $1200 that would go towards various projects around the community, such as the development of carers accommodation at the South East Regional Hospital.
Mr Bryson said due to Sunday’s success, the market would probably become an ongoing event.
The next market will be on October 23 from 7.30am-2pm at the Old Bega Racecourse on East St.
