The ecology of the surrounding Mimosa Rocks National Park is the theme of a new exhibition at Tanja’s Narek Galleries.

Running from September 29 to November 13, the Delicate Touch V exhibit will include works by Cathy Franzi, Shannon Garson, Bronwyn Kemp and Sophie Xaharkos.

Gallery director Karen O’Clery said the exhibition will show off new work by potters each with different approaches to making objects.

Ms O’Clery said Ms Franzi explores ways in which representations of Australian flora on ceramic vessels can communicate current botanical and environmental knowledge.

Shannon Garson’s latest works are “delicately thrown porcelain vessels that articulate the strange beauty and wonder found in natural eco-systems”, she said.
