For those who might think it is still too cold to start doing laps again, don’t worry – the water has been a warm 26 degrees thanks to a heat pump that was installed last November.
It is the first pool in the district to be available for the season, but the others will be open shortly after.
Pool superintendents Zoe and Mark Philipzen said there will be squad, lessons for children and adults, aquarobics, as well as one-on-one lessons over the school holidays.
Also, on Sunday a swimming club information and registration day will run from 1-3pm for kids and adults.
“We live in a fantastic part of the world, surrounded by lakes, rivers and the ocean and the pool is the place to learn skills for life,” Mr Philipzen said.
Season passes are $148 for a single and $296 for a family of two adults and two children.
It is open Monday to Friday 6am-6pm, then 10am-4pm Saturday to Sunday.
The pool’s phone number is 6492 2340.
