Their work has been created during the last six months to express ideas that came to both independently, but contained some similar themes.
One shared theme is that of nests and therefore leaving the nest, eggs and just nests are featured.
Leaving the Nest shows collaborative works combining rich polished timber forms, cutout aluminium figures, clear acrylic and industrial aluminium wire.
In the background of the three dimensional works are large paintings by Ms Balos that show flowers and plants approaching full bloom then fading away.
Parts of the paintings are partially finished to illustrate the ephemeral state of the natural world.
The opening will be officiated by local identity and author Laurelle Pacey, who is best known for her many history books about the Narooma and Bermagui region. She is also a strong supporter and proponent of visual arts and other community events.
The exhibition runs to October 12 at the Bermagui Fishermens Wharf.
