Second only to Cooma at 127.1cpl, Bega’s average price for unleaded was 125.9cpl for the week ending September 4 according to NRMA’s Bowser Buster website.
And at 121.1cpl, Bega also has the state’s fifth most expensive diesel.
Cheapest unleaded in the state was available at at Maitland for 102.8cpl, 23.1c cheaper than Bega.
NRMA’s analysis shows regional towns with a greater number of independents and more competition tend to have cheaper prices.
