Dr Maher is a global leader in guiding health systems to focus on the patient experience first.
“I look at what’s working well and what’s not working well and we design from there,” Dr Maher said.
“Architects now go around talking about how wonderful the experience is working with patients and staff when designing hospitals.
“It’s really starting to take hold because people are now seeing the benefits of that focus.”
Southern NSW Health District CEO Janet Compton has become a good friend of Dr Maher and said she is hoping to lead a health revolution in the region.
