A local golfing success story lies in the win of Mick Driscoll and partner Carnie Bower in the NSW regional Keno Mixed Championship allowing them a week away in Bonville Coffs Harbour. Since taking up mixed golf Mick has certainly chalked up more wins than previously experienced.

To Thursday’s DWWW 42 starters saw Mitch Creary take the A grade with 37 and Brian Reid B grade with a day’s best of 38. Balls to 34.
Saturday was our postponed Monthly medal event with Mitch again taking out both the Medal and B grade with 69. A grade fell to Julian Clifford’s 76 as a rejuvenated Pommie took C grade on 76 as well as jagging Golden shot with a low, boring shot to a creditable 3.3m( much to the delight of his playing partners).
We look forward to seeing members and visitors to our Tathra Beach Real Estate’s Winter Breeze July 16/17 as well as our Thankyou to Sponsors day on Sunday July 3.
Tathra ladies golf
After a chilly start last Tuesday we enjoyed clear blue skies & sunshine for a combined Patron’s Day and the postponed Invitation Day that is sponsored by the Walter & Eliza Cancer Institute. Our much loved Patron Raynor Pitchford joined us for Presentations. To win you must have an invited guest. Fay Switzer invited Helen Herbert from Eden to play with her in a 4BBB Stableford they had a score of 39 pts. and won the Walter & Eliza Golf Umbrellas. The day’s top score & R’s/U were Tathra team mates Nora Trent & Renata Boulter 3rd place went to Di Evans & Sue Donnelly who also had 39 pts. If you won a NTP your partner also received a ball Noeline Bell was NTP on the 3rd, 9th, 14th & 18th a clean sweep, partner Pam Taylor picked up 4 balls for being the cheer squad. Everyone with a score of 36 or better won a ball, and a total of 44 ladies enjoyed the day. Thanks to the ladies who set up for lunch and to those who bought food for the banquet we consumed after golf.
Last Saturday was also a Stableford with 19 players. The winner was Karen Enright with 35 pts the R/U with 33 pts was Marnie Nicholson. NTP’s the 9th & 14th were not won Liz Canney claimed the 18th. Balls went to 27 with seven being awarded.
The Nine Hole Comp. resumed last Monday with a quality field of 12. Winners were Margaret Kermode, Rhonda Castellari, Marie Oakley and Robyn Hanrahan. Mystery holes next week with an 8.30 hit off, everyone is most welcome to come along and join in the fun.
