Time is running out for artists to enter the Basil Sellers Art Prize 2016, with entries for the prestigious prize closing at on Monday, June 27.

The acquisitive art prize is worth $15,000 in prize money and artists living in the Eurobodalla, Bega Valley and Snowy Monaro Regional shires may enter.
In addition to the major prize, Eurobodalla Shire Council is offering a Highly Commended Award of $1000 and South East Arts will present a People’s Choice Award of $500.
All artworks must be original, one-off works, and the prize is open to a range of art forms, including sculpture, painting and mono prints.
Entries close 4.30pm Monday, June 27, and judges will make the selection for the artworks to be exhibited from the digital images submitted by the artists.
The winner will be chosen from the hung exhibition, which opens on October 13 at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya, and placed in Basil Sellers’ private collection.
