The weekend’s torrential rain and huge swell created a veritable tsunami of sea foam along the coast, including at Tathra where it banked up on the walls of the lifesaving club and cafe, and even spilled into the street given the size of the storm surge.
For one little puppy it was an exciting opportunity not to be wasted.
However it soon turned into a frantic search by his owner Tim and several other locals not put off by the deep drifts of foam.
All the search-and-rescuers were well coated by the time they found the pup, who we hear greatly enjoyed a warm bath at home a while later!
