Aitken has scored two match-winning tries in recent weeks with a last-minute intercept against the Raiders and a quick set play against the Titans over the weekend.
Aitken joked on the radio program The Locker Room that his Raiders-supporter dad was “blowing up” about the loss, not realising Euan had scored.
The 20-year-old also got some high praise from Brad Fitler and Darren Lockyer after a right-hand fend earned him the match-winner on Saturday.
“He’s a talented kid at just 20 and strong, very strong,” Fitler commended during the Sunday footy show.
Tathra’s Adam Elliott also put on a solid display off the bench for the Bulldogs, but went down in a surprising 32-20 loss to Canberra.
Elliott got 21 minutes of the bench and ran the ball 40 metres across five hit ups and made 11 tackles.
