The community of Tanja got together to help raise money for the Cancer Council on Saturday with the help of special guest, River Cottage Australia’s Paul West.
“Paul has a great sense of playfulness and was a real asset,” Tanja’s Biggest Morning Tea organiser Linda Lord said.
The day’s fundraising netted more than twice as much as in 2015 with over $750 raised.
Ms Lord said there were some impressive entries in this yea’s baking competition.
“Michelle Wilkie won the plain and miscellaneous sections in the senior bake off while Max Phillip won the junior plain section,” she said.
Ms Lord thanked the wider community for their support of the event and donations to the Cancer Council.
“I'm very grateful also to Bernd Weise, Susie Bell, Anneke Paijmans, Barry and Goshia Jackson and Yuri Weidenhoffer for displaying their cups and mugs.”
