Keep an eye out for door-knockers in Bega, Tathra and Eden as well as collection points in the main street of Merimbula, Coles Bega and the Sapphire Marketplace.
Salvation Army Bega corps officer Deb Parsons said door knocking has been made a little more flexible this year so may occur on days other than this weekend. She urged anyone approached to make sure the collector had official Salvos ID and receipts.
Meanwhile, the Salvation Army’s Bega op shop reopens in its new premises on Monday, May 30, 9am.
The second-hand goods have taken up residence at 70 Gipps St (the old Retravision building) with collection bins also shifted to the new site.
