If weekly they need to be held somewhere else. Parking is bad enough and most people avoid Bega on market day because of the parking.

There seems to be less people and stall holders at the markets lately but market forces will determine if it's a goer. I can understand shopkeepers that pay rates, rent, wages, finance,insurance,transport and utility bills being upset.

I don’t understand why they didn’t turn the car park in Zingle Place into a two-storey car park when they did that up.

Considering this site's proximity to the Bega Rec Ground - which anyone who has attended events there is aware of the desperate need for more parking - it might be a prudent and (if council can access state and federal sports funding) a savvy move.
