”We are in the early stages of this consultation project, and already it has been really exciting to see and hear the valuable feedback our community is providing,” BVSC’s Integrated Planning and Reporting Coordinator Rebecca Bogie said on Thursday.
“To develop a greater understanding of our communities, the values held, and hopes for the future is not only important for council to plan for the future, but is extremely valuable for other agencies and community groups that service our region.
“We are looking forward to sharing the findings of this consultation process and believe it is a significant step in capturing who we are, and what is important to us here in the Bega Valley,” she said.
Council said the feedback they have received from the community so far has been “extremely positive”, with people openly sharing their thoughts on where they live.
Bega’s first listening post will be held on Friday, April 29 in Ayers Walkway and an online survey is available from the council website.
