“This is the exciting part,” Edlong director Colin Smith said as the visiting group were given a tour of the respite centre.
Bega Cheese executive chairman Barry Irvin said this year’s event had raised $175,000 for Community Carers Accommodation South East.
“The great thing is they are people from around the world supporting the local area,” Mr Irvin said.
Edlong are building a reputation as regular highest bidders for the annual cheese auction which was in previous years the realm of corporate adviser David Williams.
“The event was designed to showcase the Valley but it has always had a fundraising side to it as well,” Mr Irvin said.
