Both sides were kept away from getting a solid turn at the crease with the South Eurobodalla Pirates and Eden batting out nearly 60 overs for strong run totals.
In Tathra, two quick catches to visiting captain Reece Wheeler also has the locals in danger as play will resume with the Sea Eagles on 3/14.
Eden took the crease first and opening exchanges looked promising for the Tathra hosts as early wickets gave way cheaply.
Opener Andrew Evelyn was dismissed for a duck by the bowling of Sea Eagles captain Adam Blacka, while Chris Dwyer ran Patrick Kearney out for just 10.
When Wheeler was caught and bowled by Dan Blacka, things looked promising with Eden 3/29.
However, summer hero for the Eden squad Matt Bell shaped up for a strong haul and executed well to hit 55 runs for his side.
Bell was dismissed by a strong catch to Adam, but the visitors were climbing the scoreboard.
Marty Butchers and Tyrone Thomas enjoyed a good partnership to hit 26 and 33 respectively, pushing Eden towards 150.
A final wag of the tail from Tim Bowes on 17 cleared the Eden side to a total of 160 runs and holding the crease for 57 overs.
Bowling honours for Tathra were shared with Dan and Peter Bennett both bagging a four-wicket haul on the day.
Tathra will resume play with Adam and Bennett at the crease.
Meanwhile, the Bulls were met with similar circumstances as the Pirates clocked up 189 runs from 60 overs.
The Bulls had their hosts reeling at 3/10 before the northern side’s veterans took control of play.
Dean Friskin led the resistance as he chalked up a good stand of 62 runs before Jack Matthews bowled him.
Two cheap wickets off a pair of handy catches kept Bega-Angledale well in the hunt, but another veteran in Nick Mason dug in to stem the flow of wickets.
Mason eked out another 29 runs to see the Pirates make a strong total before he was returned to the sheds.
Braiden McIntosh was the main destroyer for Bega-Angledale with the ball, toppling four batsmen for just 11 runs early in the piece before securing a final wicket in late stages of play.
Jack Matthews and Jayden Heyhorn were also in the wicket-takers, securing two apiece over the innings.
With just a handful of overs left to play, the Bulls put on a quick-fire 1/33 in response and will resume play at the crease.
No matter the outcome of day two play on Saturday, both the Sea Eagles and Bulls will qualify for semi-final berths.
The Eagles will hold second with the Bulls in fourth.
