Wearing a blue collared shirt rolled to his elbows, Andrew Storey Sheridan, who is also known as Andrew Kapczynski, pleaded guilty to the charge of solicit to murder in front of presiding judge Andrew Haesler.
In 2015, detectives from the Child Abuse Squad’s Queanbeyan office received information suggesting Sheridan was planning to have a teenager murdered while being held in Long Bay Jail awaiting trial for three charges of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child aged between 14 and 16 under his authority.
Recorded conversations captured Sheridan agreeing to pay an undercover operative $50,000 to murder the teenager before his first court hearing in August 2015.
The matter was adjourned to Sydney District Court on Monday, February 29, for sentencing.
