At 1.42am on February 6, the victim contacted police saying she had been punched by her partner, who was outside her premises.
Police attended the address and the door was opened by the victim, who’s left eye was closed.
Police heard the accused outside the premises and arrested him.
He was taken to Bega Police Station, charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and refused bail.
POLICE attached to the Far South Coast Local Area Command are investigating a series of incidents over the weekend in Bega and Merimbula that began on the morning of February 5.
Between midnight and 1am on Friday, two males entered a business on Auckland St, Bega and attempted to gain access to a coin dispenser during which time they damaged the machine.
About 2.30am on Friday morning two males were seen attempting to break into a service station in Swan St, Bega but were unsuccessful, although one male tried to enter with a brick in his hand.
About 3.10am at a store in Market St, Merimbula, a male attempted to enter through the front door.
This male was unsuccessful however he did damage the door.
About 5pm on Friday, a tablet computer was stolen from a store in Market St, Merimbula after two men and a woman entered the building.
While one person distracted the owner another stole the item.
About 4.25am on Saturday a retail outlet on Main St, Merimbula was the victim of a breaking offence were a number of cigarettes were stolen.
Police have recovered a motor vehicle that had been stolen during the incidents and located property connected with the offences near the vehicle.
Police have received descriptions of three people involved in the taking of the tablet on the Friday afternoon.
Those descriptions are similar to that of people involved in the other incidents.

AT 12.30am on Sunday, February 7 a 58-year-old female was seen travelling west along Lamont St, Bermagui in her vehicle and was stopped by police for a random breath test.
The driver was subjected to a preliminary breath test which returned a positive indication for alcohol.
She was placed under arrest and taken to Bermagui Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis that returned a reading in the low range.
She had been at a private party and consumed three 250ml bottles of wine.
ABOUT 12:55am on Sunday, February 7 a 33-year-old male was at a licensed premises in Merimbula.
He was involved in an argument with another patron, so security intervened and both parties were asked to leave due to their behaviour.
The male become argumentative and walked to the rear entry door where he made several attempts to regain entry by jumping the beer garden fence.
Security were able to stop him where he was again asked to leave.
A further three times he was asked to leave before he was told police would be called.
Police attended a short time later and informed the male he would be issued a infringement for failing to leave a licence premises when required.
These infringements can cost more than $550.
AROUND 10.50pm, on January 27, police were conducting a stationary RBT on the Princes Hwy at Eden.
A 28-year-old male was seen driving a vehicle in a southerly direction towards police.
He was subjected to a roadside breath test and returned a positive reading.
The man was arrested and taken to Eden Police Station where a breath analysis conducted.
He returned a low range prescribed concentration of alcohol and was issued a court attendance notice.
