“They are lovely and they have settled in to the school very well,” Ms Favaloro said.
The first week of school focuses on getting to know each other, becoming familiar with the classroom environment and settling into a routine, she said.
So what have the new pupils enjoyed the most about starting school?
“The iPads,” the class said in unison.
“Everything!” they yelled excitedly.
“Reading books and our Year 6 buddies and painting trees yesterday,” Isaac said.
“Going to the park,” Luke said.
“Reading Ping Pong Pig,” Monique said.
Other things popular with the class were the library, maths and homework.
Ms Favaloro said the school’s interactive white board has also been popular with the five-year-olds.
“We play lots of games involving alphabet sounds,” she said.
