Bennett slogged a whopping haul of 108 runs, while also securing five wickets off his bowling efforts.
However, it didn’t all go Tathra’s way as the home side took the crease first, but looked shaky with early wickets falling cheaply.
Openers Chris Dwyer and Gordon Wiegold were both dismissed as they passed double figures.
Geordie Gibbs then went out for a duck and things were looking grim for the home side.
However, Bennett came to the crease and quickly began wracking up runs.
Extras from James Squires saw the Tathra side on 64 when Stevenson joined Bennett.
The duo dominated the Bulls’ bowling line-up and the team has surpassed 190 runs when Stevenson was caught by Robbie Ringland on 41.
Bennett pressed the assault and continued slogging everything, but was finally bowled by Gary Longmire on the tremendous total of 108.
A light dusting of runs from the tail order saw the Tathra roster clock up 219 at the end of the 40-over innings.
A trio of Bega-Angledale bowlers shared the honours with a pair of wickets each to Braiden McIntosh, Longmore and Chris Taylor.
Meanwhile, the skipper had put in some work in the field to secure two catches for the side.
With a target set, the Bulls wasted no time in going after the total, but a low-order collapse saw the visiting side fall short on just 122 runs.
Openers Liam Cooper and Lachlan Sims fared better than their Tathra counterparts.
The duo got off to a quick start with Cooper on 17 before was he dismissed by an lbw.
Meanwhile, Sims was caught behind by keeper Stevenson on 22 runs with the Bulls already teetering on 50 runs after just two wickets.
Riley Wilcox also got into the 20s before he was caught by Wiegold as the Bulls applied increasing scoreboard pressure.
Ringland provided a morale boosting 52-run haul to see the Bulls reach 119, but was then caught by Gibbs leaving plenty of overs to chase down the remaining 100.
However, the club mustered just three runs in the tail order as the batting line-up crumbled.
Four wickets put Bega past 120, but another four were returned to the sheds for zero.
A series of ducks dashed all hope of the Bulls chasing down the target.
Bennett rounded off possibly the best performance of his career to secure five wickets for just 16 runs.
Peter Moorhead backed him up with four wickets to his name.
The match sees Tathra hold dominion on top of the one-day ladder, while the loss has slumped Bega-Angledale to fourth in the competition.
