Mr Blacker purchased six balls for the Golf Ball Drop and Family Fun Day competition and will have to split the money from his winning ball number 199 with bowling mate John Chalker.

He humbly said he was “quite happy” with his well timed win with the helicopter disappearing just minutes before a thunderstorm blew quickly across the golf course.

Lucky ball number 199 was one of 125 balls purchased on the day according to Bega Country Club general manager David Mitchell.

So how will he be spending his $5000 share of the winnings?

“I’m going to put some over the bar very shortly,” he replied without hesitation.
