Currently, only the Bega, Kalaru and Tathra water systems have fluoride but the others do not.
At their meeting on Wednesday, councillors will be recommended to begin a community information program regarding fluoridation of drinking water and for a staff report regarding the introduction of fluoride to the water be presented to council by early 2016.
Also, Cr Kristy McBain has put forward a notice of motion that council write to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Member for Eden-Monaro Peter Hendy to confirm council’s support for a referendum acknowledging Australia’s Indigenous people in the country’s constitution.
Council’s meeting will be on November 4 at their chambers on Zingel Place.
