The club’s committee has been busily working in the off-season to organise some show-stopping events in the coming months.
The club has also been working to attract good fields across a number of feature race classes.
Organisers said the new race season starts now, with spectators to see a few new faces in the driver seat ready to put on a show.
All the fan-favourite regulars will run including the Aussie sixes, series productions and super production.
The karts are also making waves with a strong field of 15 racers for Saturday’s meet.
The club also has the ever-popular burnout competition planned, while a South Coast division of the super sedan series should excite.
There is some big local names set to test the competition at this meet.
All the entertainment for the kids is back at the course too, with the jumping castle, lolly drops and meet and greet opportunities with the drivers in the pits.
A full canteen will run at the track during the meet.
The weekend race meet will be the first in a monthly series of races for the speedway that include November 21, January 9, February 13, March 19, April 16 and May 21.
The club is looking forward to hosting the South Coast super sedans, while there will also be rounds in the formula 500s, legends compacts, amcars, a demolition derby and fireworks in the coming months.
A spokesperson for the club said “it is all going down at the speedway”.
Gates open at 2pm with racing from 4pm.
