Held at Club Sapphire, Merimbula, around 150 people attended the event and the Bega Valley bands of Thundergoose, White Noise and Dirty Star Pickets entertained the audience in the evening.
Playability is a charity focused on play and social experiences for children and young people with disabilities.
It has around 35 children in its disability sector and over 100 families in their other sectors.
Coles Bega store manager Tom Marshman said the band night aimed to raise awareness of Playability and the “great” work they do for the community.
Playability manager Marcelle Van Gasselt said fundraisers such as this “never” happened for her organisation.
“Because we are too small, we have too few staff and committee members to organise something as labour-intensive as this,” she said.
Ms Van Gasselt said the substantial amount of money raised through the fundraiser was very much appreciated and she thanked Coles staff.
The money will go towards funding and resources at both of Playability’s centres in Bega and Eden.
Sponsors for the event included Mogo Zoo, Coles and Sapphire Coast Automotive Services, Merimbula.
