Speed limit questions on fatal Bermagui corner
I'm not going to enter into the argument of what the speed limit should be but I certainly don't drive at 100km on that particular stretch of road. I've ridden a bike on that same stretch and it's a bit hairy at 80km. In saying that if the safe speed limit is 100km then the Princes Highway should be at least 120km.

Anyone who drives this road regularly would know it's in really bad condition, the particular corner is full of old patches that are sunken and would be quite unsettling for a bike. I drive it everyday and it puts my work car off balance, however if the road was in good condition there's no need to lower the limit.

So we don't know what the cause of the crash is yet but we should lower the speed limit!?!

This is a typical over reaction to an accident. People are the problem on roads like this, not the speed limit. I think this is just a ludicrous suggestion. I'm a Bermagui resident and travel round this very corner several times a day and there is absolutely no problem it's bumpy and could be repaired, but not really hazardous.

Bega River bamboo removal
Get rid of it, it's feral and has no place in the river
Peter Windle
When it is replaced by a range of beautiful native trees, shrubs and grasses, and people can walk alongside the water, it won't be missed.

Its been where it is for over 40 years I’ve known of it. I say leave it as a feature
Darrell Worley
At least if it goes, use the bamboo. It’s a resource.
