However, organisers joked that the good scores had the handicapper keeping a vigil eye over proceedings.
“If you were on the card nine times with a team score of 42 or better you were in her sights,” the spokeswoman said with a laugh.
The best of the best was Edith Robinson and Shirley Toohill, who scored 49 points to win.
Runners-up on a count-back were Liz Canney and Narelle Harrison.
You needed a score of 42 or better to receive a ball and that was on a count-back.
Nearest the pin winners were Shirley Toohill’s second shot on the third, Karen Enright the ninth, 14th Kath Brown and 18th went to Lou Holt.
Holt also scored the golden shot.
With warmer conditions, bigger fields have been turning out and 31 took part in a stableford last Saturday.
Division one was decided on a count-back with Bev Munz coming on top from runner-up Karen Enright.
Division two winner was Edith Robinson had the best score of the day on 39 points.
Jenette Cox finished runner-up just one-off-the-pace with 38 points.
Balls were awarded to 35 on a count-back.
Nearest the pins were the ninth to Noeline Bell, 14th Liz Canney and 18th Karen Enright.
Another excellent spring day saw 25 take part
A perfect Spring Monday saw 25 ladies play a stableford.
Winners were Carney Bower, Edith Robinson, Wendy Smith, Robyn Hanrahan, Dot Burhop, Jo Byrnes, Sheila Russell and Cheryl McKenzie.
There was no play on Monday, but turn up to play mystery holes on Monday.
Hit off is at 8.15am and all are welcome.
Colleen is very happy with the response to her request last week for ladies to learn how to use the club computer.
At least six have offered their services for a month at a time.
There is just one birthday in the playing ranks this week as Marcia Carroll celebrated her occasion.
Members of the club said they had missed seeing Betty MacDonald around as she has been sick.
Members wished her well and a swift recovery.
