The Southern New South Wales district covers the local government areas of Bega Valley, Bombala, Cooma‐Monaro, Eurobodalla, Goulburn Mulwaree, Palerang, Queanbeyan, Snowy River, Upper Lachlan Shire, and Yass Valley.
The scheme will be provided first to those already receiving or enrolled in disability support programs.
Accommodation support provides specialist accommodation to people with disability or help to remain in their existing accommodation. It includes group homes, residential centres and in-home living support.
If you receive accommodation support and meet the NDIS access requirements you can access the NDIS from July 2016.
Community Access and Community Support covers a large range of supports, including therapy, day programs and intervention services.
If you receive these supports and meet the NDIS access requirements you can access the NDIS from July 2016.
Respite and Community Care offer short-term breaks and practical help, such as respite and domestic assistance.
If you receive these supports and meet the NDIS access requirements you can access the NDIS throughout the roll-out period.
People receiving respite services will go through a simplified process. People receiving community care services will be supported to apply for access to the NDIS.
There is some capacity during the rollout for people who have not previously received supports to access the scheme when it starts in their local area.

Hendy applauds full roll-out across Southern NSW
Member for Eden-Monaro Peter Hendy said the agreement for the transition to the full NDIS in New South Wales was a huge milestone for the scheme.
“Thanks to this agreement, 140,000 people across New South Wales will get the individual support they need,” Dr Hendy said.
“The Bega Valley will transition into the full scheme from July 2016.
“This is great news for people with disability and their families across the Bega Valley and underscores our commitment to deliver the NDIS in full.
“The agreement delivers on the Heads of Agreement signed by both governments to implement the NDIS across New South Wales by July 2018.
“It is a carefully managed roll-out designed to deliver an NDIS that stands the test of time.”
Ultimately around 460,000 Australians and their families will benefit from the NDIS across Australia, and with the agreements in the two largest states signed on Wednesday, more than half of eligible people in Australia will now be covered.
