Well-known Bermagui man Peter “Beatle” Collins was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2015.
This benefit is to raise much-needed funds to support Mr Collins with his treatment and everyday expenses during this difficult time.
Before becoming ill, Mr Collins was a very active and outgoing individual who loved surfing everyday and put his hands to work making large scale sculptures, such as the “wave”.
He is known for his sculptures, seen at the annual Bermagui Sculpture on the Edge event.
The Benefit for Beatle will be on Saturday, September 12 at the Bermagui Country Club from 6.30pm until late.
There will be live music, lucky door prizes as well as auctions and raffles.
Up for auction on the night are four surfboards, two sculptures, two paintings, two $1500 fishing charters and one birdbath.
Tickets are $35 and include nibbles, music and entry into lucky door prizes.
The tickets can be purchased from the Bermagui Country Club on 6493 4340.
