On August 21, Trent John Andrew Bond, 21, of Moruya was convicted of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and inciting aggravated indecency with a victim over 16, all charges conducted in the company of another person.
His co-accused, 21-year-old Doreen Seymour of Bomaderry, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault, both in the company of another person.
The police report stated the two were in a de facto relationship.
Bond and Seymour pleaded not guilty to their charges when they appeared at Bega District Court on August 10.
The police alleged on the evening of June 20, 2014, Bond, Seymour and the victim attended a house near Catalina, Batemans Bay.
Later, the trio left the premises on foot.
During their walk, the victim decided to return to their previous location and walked away from Bond and Seymour, who asked her to stay with them.
Bond approached the victim from behind and started to rub her back.
The police alleged the victim tried to walk away from Bond but he put his hand down her pants and, despite the victim pushing him away, Seymour grabbed the victim’s breasts.
Bond and Seymour took the victim to a nearby grassy area next to a wooden fence against her will.
The police alleged Bond said to the victim “get on the ground, if you don’t I will do something bad”, then pushed the victim backwards, striking her head on the fence.
The police alleged Bond held the victim on the ground, took off her pants and inserted his penis into her vagina against her will, while Seymour lay beside them.
Bond told Seymour to remove her pants and then put the victim’s hand on to Seymour’s vagina, but the victim removed it.
Bond then had sex with Seymour, while the victim dressed and walked away.
She went to the Batemans Bay Police Station later that night and reported the incident.
The police report noted Bond had 29 prior offences relating to violence, property and traffic.
During their trial the couple were found not guilty of additional assault charges.
Bond and Seymour will be sentenced in Sydney on November 6.
