BRAWL has a long-term view to create a path that will connect the community from Gipps St to the Bega River.
The area was cleared and mulched last year and volunteers from BRAWL have already planted over 600 plants.
For Landcare Week, BRAWL will be planting a special corridor of shrubs to complement the plane trees that create a dramatic avenue where Gipps St crosses Bega St.
This will eventually be the start of the proposed path.
There is no cost to be part of BRAWL and you don’t have to commit to every monthly working bee.
If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, Landcare Week is a great opportunity to see what happens with your local Landcare group.
You can simply turn up to on the day.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and something to share for morning tea.
The BRAWL working bee is on September 7, from 9.30am until 12.30pm at Gipps St, Bega (opposite Club Bega).
