Officials said from the start of the year the team has been passionate and determined to have a strong run.
A number of the players continued training through the off-season and resulted in finishing minor premiers for the season.
The club said the 16s’ defence was, by far, the best in the competition and the boys show fantastic commitment to each other on and off the field.
The young side will play in the minor league grand final against the Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs in Tathra on Saturday at 2.30pm.
1 Durramah Parsons, A cool headed fullback that can chime onto the backline with plenty of speed. Guides our defence well from the back.
2 Jesse Duchesne, plays on the wing and has improved his running and defence this year, supports the forwards with some good scoots from dummy half
3 Riley Joyce , a hard running centre that gives his all on the paddock and at training
4 Ethan Boyle
The big improver this season and he is starting to realise his potential. He works hard in attack and defence and a pleasure to coach.
5 Cooper Wilson, A flying winger that shows plenty of courage when faced with pressure
6 Will Picker, one of the speedsters in the team, other teams cannot give him any room to move and his defence is second to none.
7 Callum Bower-Scott, played half the season as dummy half but he is back in halves position he prefers and it has lifted his work rate with a lot more elusive running which has benefited the team. He is also one of our strong defenders.
8 Jarred Finnerty, A hard hitting forward that shows his determination to break through the line of defence with every run.
9 Jed Richards, cemented his position as the dummy half of the team, he is a very versatile player that could play in any back position. Gives 100% every time.
10 Toby Willington, He is a big strong player that has been very enthusiastic to learn and develop his skills. Plays with plenty of heart.
11 James Grant, has had some strong runs this year resulting in some good tries. He is also the goal kicker of the team.
12 Jaccob Whitby, Has put on some of the biggest hard hitting tackles this year. He is a great team player and works hard for his team in attack and defence.
13 Dylan Dunning, the work horse of the team. He is in everything he can get into.
14 Ken Mitchell, is developing into a great leader of a footy team. He makes good decisions to help his team in attack and a strong defender.
15 Alister French, loves his footy, the harder the hits and runs the more fun he has.
17 Brody Johns, has speed to burn, one of the fastest players in the team. He always gets in and gives his all every game.
18 Lachlan Eeles, has improved all aspects of his game. He has safe hands whether the ball is high or along the ground Lachie has it covered.
19 Tom Picker
Tom is an under 14 player that has played up in the 16s all year. You would not know he was younger by the size of him and his determination.
20 Kyle Britten
Whenever we need a forward to have a big run or do a big tackle Shrek will be there. He was also named as Group 16’s Best forward in the Under 15s age division.
