Spectrum Theatre Group’s production Moonlight and Magnolias is the comedy behind the production of this eight-time Academy Award winning film.
Written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Amber Little, audiences will get a unique look at life in the office of Hollywood movie mogul David O Selznick (played by Simon Lovett) who has called on script writer Ben Hecht (Jesse Tankard) and the famous Hollywood director Victor Fleming (Sam Roberts) to help rewrite the film script in just five days.
With the held of these two funny characters and the very efficient secretary Miss Poppenguhl (Stephanie Gibbs), audiences will laugh along as they watch the writers bring to life such legendary characters as Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler.
The performance season is between Saturday, August 29 and September 12 for six shows only, with five cabaret style evenings and one matinee.
Tickets are on sale here ranging from $20-$26.
