The Tathra side took a quick lead in the opening minutes of the match against the Killer Whales, but were looking for a second to create a buffer.
The side's chance didn't come until the second half, with the United squad leading 1-0 at the break.
Tathra came off a series of corners and Eden looked to have cleared the ball, however United found posession about 30 metres out and a clever lob sailed clear of Jaime Christensen in the net.
With a 2-0 lead, the Tathra side set about it's defensive efforts and held the Killer Whales back commendably for most of the second half.
With the clock ticking down, Eden star striker Kamilla Grubesic made a one on one run at the goals, her kick was deflected, but rolled gracefully towards the net.
Tathra was running hard to stop the ball, but it slid into the net to give Eden a glimpse of hope at 2-1.
Eden rallied desperately in the final stages, but some quick headers and long range kicks saw Tathra take the offensive and control play until the final siren.
In the first grade men's contest the Pambula Penguins looked convincing with a 2-0 lead at the break.
The first goal came through a dot shot with the Penguins awarded the free kick from a header contest in the box.
The second was a surprising sailing kick that lobbed out of the left corner and drifted to the net.
