Once again, the South Coast Music Camp is inviting all orchestral instrument players to join the camp in Bega for a week of great music, excellent tuition, yummy food and plenty of fun.
“We have a teaching formula which we know works,” camp director Geoffrey Badger said.
“Our string tutors this year will once again be the wonderful Acacia Quartet from Sydney joined by tertiary students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and members of the Arcadia Quintet (from Australian National Academy of Music).
“Music camp has become a remarkable annual event in the cultural life of our rural community,” Mr Badger said.
“The orchestral camp provides young musicians with the chance to experience first-hand the power of participating in something where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
“We are grateful that this wonderful opportunity has been made possible through the generous support of many community organisations and businesses.”
It is now time to enrol in this year’s South Coast Music Camp, which is held at Mumbulla School during the first week of September school holidays - September 21-25.
The “camp” is not residential - each day goes from 8.30am until 4pm and there is a huge final concert on the Friday afternoon.
Closing date for enrolments is Friday, August 21 – so don't miss out!
