Around 4.30pm Monday, August 3, several Ambulance units, plus a Bega fire engine and two Volunteer Rescue Association vehicles sped north out of Bega to assist police responding to reports of a car crash on the Princes Hwy.
However, it thankfully was not as serious as initially thought.
A Bega police spokesperson said it appeared one vehicle had pulled out of a driveway and collided with a second car travelling along the Princes Hwy near the Blanchards Rd turnoff.
Initial reports said one occupant was trapped, hence the call to action for Bega Fire and Rescue and the VRA.
However, they were called off soon after.
Four people were taken to Bega Hospital, but for relatively minor injuries, police said.
