It had been a really great tour this year, with barely a stage going by without something exciting happening.
When Cadel Evans retired I didn't know who to barrack for, but finally settled on Chris Froome and he, of course, was the winner.
For most of the tour Froome was comfortably ahead, but as the action moved into the Alps and on the last few stages, there his rivals in the general classification came out to play big time.
On the last Alps' stage, the little Colombian rider, Naira Quintana, made a supreme effort and charged up the last steep slope, Alpe-D-Huez, and gave Froome and his team a real fright.
I have been asked whether it's the scenery or the cyclists that draws me to the tour.
Definitely in the first two or so years I watched, it was the scenery, but now I know so much more about the riders, their teams and the tactics, it's the cyclists first, then the scenery.
Mind you, the scenery is superb, the chateaux, the lovely old villages, the forests, the rivers, the mountains and yes, the windfarms.
The commentary is so professional and this year one of my other favourite cyclists, Robbie McEwen, joined the SBS team as did Jens Voigt.
I watch Le Tour from start to finish and love every bit of it!
MASTERCHEF (Ten) finished last night, and I can't get over how very good the competitors are this year.
No matter who wins I feel sure that all will get jobs in the food industry.
DIG (SBS) has finally finished and thankfully so.
I had to wait till the end to see the terrible Judean/Christian fanatics get their comeuppance.
For some weeks I couldn't work out what it was all about, and even when I did I was repulsed by the violence, especially when a 13-year-child slit the neck of the woman trying to save him, but I kept watching to see how it would all turn out.
I NEVER get tired of Great Designs (ABC) – that is the first time they're shown.
This new series lives up to expectations with Kevin McCloud telling us it will never work – it will be ugly – it will cost too much – or similar pessimistic pronouncements, and then of course raving when he final build is revealed.
