Wolumla Public School, Towamba Public School and Cobargo Public School were each the grateful recipients of iPads.
Elizabeth Huggett from Campbell Page chairs the Bega Valley Child and Family Network and was excited to be supporting student learning in the early years to help the transition to school and early literacy and numeracy.
This network has also recently purchased 300 baby board books for the child and family health team to give to each mother of a newborn in the Valley to encourage parents to read to their children to improve early literacy.
The network has also provided funds to the Far South Coast Family Support Service to enable them to continue their Just For Mums Social Group in Bega.
The Bega Valley Child and Family Network has also provided an auditory processing disorder workshop in Merimbula for service providers.
In August, in partnership with Bega Valley Shire Council and PlayAbility, the network is hosting Yarning Strong With Families, a free seminar for any service providers who work with Indigenous families.
The network is looking forward to launching a website that brings together all services available to families in the Bega Valley.
