The characters had come to life, much to the delight of the many children in the centre, who were very keen on having their photo taken with these video game spartans.
Underneath the clever costumes of layers of foam and fabric undersuit was 22-year-old Jordan McCorriston of Merimbula, who also doubles as a Big W employee.
Mr McCorriston is an avid video gamer and has taken his passion for gaming to another level by becoming a costume builder.
He has to date built two costumes for himself and another two by request, one for a Game of Thrones convention and another, a helmet, from anime "A Legend of Korra".
He has also established Zoogami Studios, a newly founded design company, with the intention to help people with new ideas bring them to life.
"It started with me playing a lot of games and then I thought why not build a costume for yourself," Mr McCorriston said.
It took Mr McCorriston a year to create his first costume, Commander Snowfox, his own customised character, while the Agent Locke costume took five solid months of work.
"I have been learning a lot of things from scratch," he said on Wednesday while dressed as Agent Locke.
His idea and business venture has been growing each year to the point where he is now more certain of what he wants to achieve.
More recently, Mr McCorriston and his costumes have been doing the rounds of various conventions and events.
Recently he attended Supanova Sydney, suiting up as Agent Locke 2.0.
"I met lots of awesome people and won Best Costume in the advanced category," he said.
Mr McCorriston said attending these events are always fun, but one of the most important aspects of being there is the opportunity to network and meet people with common interests.
He said he really enjoys "cosplaying".
"Once you're in a costume you act differently and take on a persona," he said.
He has already started researching his next project, a cat-like humanoid creature.
But first he was planning to hit the road once again to attend Oz Comic-Con in Melbourne held over the weekend.
