A BEGA man believed to be in his 20s has been refused bail over a charge of having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 10.

He first appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court on May 25 to hear the charge and where an AVO was also taken out against him.
At that time he did not apply for bail.
He reappeared in Batemans Bay Court last week, June 22, and was refused bail.
He will now appear by audio visual link from prison on July 13.
He was one of three men to appear in Batemans Bay Court last Monday on unrelated child sexual assault charges.
Bail was refused for a man charged with eight offences concerning minors.
The charges involved sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and acts of indecency.
The matter was adjourned to July 27.
Meanwhile, the court was closed for the appearance of a man charged with seven counts of sexual offences against a minor.
He was refused bail and his matter was adjourned to August 10.
