A 112-point spread separated the Bega Chicks from their two rival teams in a showing that upstaged their Roosters brethren on Sunday.
Joccoaa Rogers’ impeccable kicking game put her in charge of the point scoring with 46 points to her name from three tries and 17 conversion goals.
The Chicks comprehensively accounted for the Pink Panthers 58-4 and the Hot Doggies 58-0.
Pink Panther Bec Darcy was the only player to score a try against the formidable Bega outfit.
The two wins rounded out a clean sweep for the Roosters, which won the 18s 32-8, the reserves 38-22 and the first grade 46-18.
The first league-tag clash saw Olivia Dummett scoring for the Chicks on the left wing within the opening minute.
Rogers showed her finesse to slot the conversion from a difficult angle.
Subsequent sets saw similar line breaks by the Chicks overwhelming the Pink Panthers’ defence.
Kristina Dummett and Georgina Pearce both ran through tries on the left flank to put Bega in control.
Bec Darcy scored for the Pink Panthers just shy of half-time, but it was the only points scored against the Chicks across two games.
The second half saw a flurry of tries to Rogers and Pearce, while Taelar Williams made an 80-metre solo effort to score.
The Pink Panthers’ defence had tightened up well, but clever kicking from Alliera Bower-Scott kept up scoring opportunities for Bega.
The second round against the Hot Doggies played out in a similar fashion.
Incisive runs by Fiona Holmes, Bronty Burhop and Madison Parbery proved devastating for the Chicks.
Parbery landed four tries, Bower-Scott put her name to two and Burhop and Lily Warby both scored a try.
The results gives the Chicks a massive boost on competition per centages as they close in on the ladder leaders.
In the headline match, the Finnerty Automotive first grade Roosters opened the scoring early.
Centre Adam Blacka drew in Bulldogs defenders to provide a clear path for Tate Cochrane to score.
Captain-coach Ryan Apps was looking to strength in simplicity.
The Roosters obliged as they shifted the ball wide in sweeping runs.
A long pass found Robbie Ringland, who dived over to score, but also took a nasty head knock in doing so.
However, he had put the Roosters in front 8-0.
When Cochrane crossed again it became apparent James Bower-Scott was having a rare off-day with his kicking.
Hayden Parbery continued his fine run of form with a 50-metre solo run and out-stepping three defenders.
Bower-Scott adjusted his boot and cleared the posts to lead 18-0.
A Merimbula-Pambula fifth tackle pass caught the Bega defence napping as the play spread and allowed Dane Casey to find the try line.
However, Brenton Blair made sure the joy from the home side was short lived when in a swerving run he found his way over from 20 metres out.
The Bulldogs through themselves inta gutsy defence in the second half.
Then with a run of classy play, Nathan Heffernan scored on the touch-line after a great run.
It was an uphill battle as the Bulldogs kept up a tackling line, but Cochrane again found room to move to keep the score rolling for Bega.
Dillon Aldridge was on the receiving end of a good chip kick to find the try-line.
James McMillan nabbed a loose ball to put the Bulldogs back in at 34-18.
The second half proved to be a ruck work grind, but it was the men in the middle to break through.
Blacka and forward Mitch Carter found space to seal the match.
Bower-Scott redeemed himself well to kick five conversions in the second period.
In the reserve grade clash, tempers flared as the Panthers hosted the Roosters.
Scores were locked at 6-6 early on following tries from Luke Hoskins and Jordan Finnerty.
However, the Roosters soon took the lead with successive tries to Shaun Bateman, Jye Britten and Jeb White.
Josh Cochrane crossed for the Panthers and it was 24-12 at the break.
Quick tries to Thomas Sheehy and Jake McDonald put the Panthers back within reach, but were lacking on conversions.
In the dying stages Eric Fuller and Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers both found the line for Bega to seal the match.
