It was the visiting Panthers getting ascension early as a solid cut-out pass on the left sent Amy Barker through the Eden line.
Barker made a quick step around the fullback to score the opening try for the Panthers to lead 4-0.
Play then fluctuated through the middle, but soon the Panthers were again on the attack thanks to a strong run up the ruck and sweeping left-side plays.
Bec Darcy found a gap in the Eden line and was able to dart through to score under the posts.
With the conversion added, the Panthers led 10-0.
Eden bounced back as the Tigerettes made their own sweeping plays to the left side.
A short pass found Madeline Newton on the touchline to cross in the corner.
Chloe Dunning kept the Panthers on top by adding a try of her own early in to the second half.
However, Newton was again the cause of trouble for the Panthers' defence as she found a gap and ran through 40 metres to score under the posts.
The score favoured the Pink Panthers 16-10.
The Panthers were awarded a penalty from outside Eden's 20 and opted for a shot at a goal to seal the deal, but the shot bounded off the post.
However, working hard out of marker, Caitlin Johnson came out with some tremendous run downs on Eden's carriers and picked up a loose feed to see the Panthers regain possession.
With the clock winding down, the Pink Panthers slowed down play and just pushed for metres.
A few tense minutes awaited the girls as they held back Eden's desperate runs at the try-line.
Eden was on its fifth and final tackle, tagged just short of the line when the siren sounded for the Pink Panthers to claim their first win of the season 16-10.
The club's reserve grade had also secured a win over Eden after an early half-time lead.
The Eden Tigers had been resurgent to take the lead, but a last-minute try had the Panthers edge them out 24-22.
