Sharing the same name, the Bay was the fiercer of the two big cats and ran in six tries to four.
Group 16 representative player Michael Tadich scored a brace, while Jake Cowling Michael Sinclair, Gerard Dennis and Sam Cunningham each added a four-pointer.
Young playmaker Jacob Hill was astute in front of goal and potted five conversions.
Jack Nicholson scored two for Eden and Koorin Campbell and Joseph Stewart added one each, while Group 16 representative five eighth John Aldridge slotted four conversions.
Joseph Brierley starred for the Bay Tigers’ reserve grade side but unfortunately the home side went down 38-30.
Try scoring was on the agenda for both teams and the high scoring excited the crowd on Mother’s Day.
Brierley scored two and kicked five conversions, while Jason Cox, Shane Chatfield and Andrew Stewart each crossed once.
Jermaine Ballangarry proved to be lethal in Eden’s back line and scored a hat-trick, while Campbell scored two tries and slotted five goals.
After six rounds of the Group 16 competition, Batemans Bay is sixth on the ladder with two wins and four losses.
Bega is first with five wins and a loss.
Next Saturday, the Tigers are set for the first clash against Moruya since the club returned to Group 16.
