A 56-YEAR-OLD Wolumla man was airlifted to The Canberra Hospital on Sunday afternoon after being involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of the Candelo/Wolumla Rd and Wanatta Lane, Wolumla.

The Wolumla man was riding his motorbike from Candelo when the incident happened.
Paramedics attending the scene suspected a fracture to the pelvis and given the nature of the crash called for the Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter, which landed at the location about 4pm and flew the injured man to The Canberra Hospital.
The male car driver did not sustain any injuries.
Local police have not been available to provide any further details at this stage.
