Barbara continues the now utterly pointless rant on the location of the hospital.

Whatever the rights or wrongs of the choice of location, that was decided by others, in the beginning and very long ago. 

It was always going to be in or near Bega and that had nothing whatsoever  to do with Mike Kelly.

But more to the point Mike Kelly, who actually attended the so called "open day", was not only given no credit for his contribution to the hospital, but he was not even acknowledged by the official party, which I am told included Andrew Constance, Peter Hendy   and the Governor of NSW.

The fact of the matter is that Mike Kelly strove for and obtained federal funding for the hospital  when he was the local member and the local state member, Andrew Constance, cannot be allowed to get away with usurping  the major role  for himself or for his party.

The State Government contributed $10million and Federal Labor $160million.

We can speak about numerous other achievements by Mike Kelly, for example another very big one, the Bega Bypass, but that can be saved for another time. 

It has been said that "history is written by the victors" and for now they are the Coalition and they are rewriting the recent history of Bega and Eden-Monaro to suit themselves.

I am concerned regarding the safety of young children and their parents arriving and departing the new Stepping Stones Preschool, located at the corner of Arthur Kaine Drive and Merimbola St, Pambula, when it becomes operational.

At the present time, this crossroads is a hazard to all pedestrians and cyclists that attempt to cross over from one side of the road to the other, due to the number of vehicle drivers failing to comply with the area speed limit.

And secondly, the Mitre10 car park customers that carry out U-turns in the middle of the road crossing, and thirdly the haphazard parking of vehicles in the general area.

I believe it is imperative something must be done to protect these children from inattentive drivers.

It is recommended a pedestrian crossing be installed, that Mitre10 customers be prohibited from accessing the crossroads, plus a flashing 40kmh speed limit school sign be installed.

Halal certification is just plain wrong on so many levels.

Australia is a fundamentally Judeo/Christian society. 

 Less than two per cent of our population are Muslims, yet Islam is benefitting from the sales of around 80 per cent of all products and a smaller percentage of services in Australia.  

This money funds Islamic infrastructure and individual Muslims and Islamic organisations across Australia.

This means that 98 per cent of the population who are not Muslims are funding the growth of Islam and Australia is not alone.  

This is happening all over the west. 

There is no accountability for how these funds are used either.

Worldwide the Halal certification scheme is worth around three trillion dollars.  

Having said all of this, Halal certification is not a requirement for Muslims.  

In fact, it is regarded by genuine Muslims as "haram" or unlawful.  

Halal certification is a well organised scam and extortion racket.  

I for one do not want to see this scheme is Australia.

When you put a poll on Facebook you must surely understand that only those that feel strongly about the issue will take part.

You say that your poll was "hijacked by Boycott Halal supporters" and "has been removed to prevent further skewing of results".

You don't like the results so you remove the poll?

The free media is one of the last bastions of democracy and to see you behave like this is worrying at best, especially regarding an issue which is clearly affecting on of your major local producers and employers.

I have alerted other media such as ABC South Coast of your questionable actions.
