Three junior (under 18) drivers competed in the Mount Gladstone Hill Climb on Sunday and all three put in impressive drives.

Ryan Bolton and Logan Crawford fought out the Type 1-2 AWD class in a shared Subaru Forester.
Over six drives, both young drivers improved their times on the day with Ryan putting in the fastest time of 53.71s, while Logan recorded a fastest time of 56.81s for second place.
Nick Coote is only 14-years-old and is a student at Monaro High School.
Driving on bitumen and competing for the first time in a two-litre Toyota Camry, Nick steadily improved from a first up time of 68.79s to record a best time of 61.91s.
Organisers said it was an outstanding time for a young driver.
School-mate Oliver was volunteering at the event and was impressed as his mate put on some solid times.
“No one at school will
believe this!” he told organisers excitedly.
Organisers said the track record had also been cracked with an impressive run of 40.03s.
The new record holder is Warwick Cuthbert, who took on the course in his Nissan Skyline R34.
“The Mount Gladstone 40-second barrier still stands, but only just,” an event spokesman said.
Another highlight for spectators was Mick Rankin, who competed in a Honda powered “Rage buggy”.
With slick tyres and entered as a 0-1600cc Special Type 4 AWD, Rankin came close to the top time over his six runs, with a best time of 41.51s on the the final run.
The high-revving Honda engine was also voted to have the best “sound track” on the day.
Four vehicles were raced in the over 3000cc Holden-Ford class.
Times were close and the best of the day was posted by Stewart Grigg in a Holden VU ute with 46.65 seconds.
Lance McGrath was hot on his heels with a 47.07s course.
