A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said one motorist was unconscious and had head, abdomen and leg injuries while another person was trapped in a vehicle.
Shoalhaven Local Area Command inspector Steve Johnson said a red Renault hatchback travelling north on Gerroa Road had lost control and collided with a stationary Mercedes four-wheel-drive parked beside the road.
“A 52-year-old Culburra Beach woman was in the stationary four-wheel-drive was phoning the NRMA because she had a flat tyre,” Insp Johnson said.
“After the collision the Renault rolled once.
“The driver of the Renault, believed to be a woman from Miranda, had suspected neck and pelvic injuries.
“Her male passenger, from Oak Flats, was suffering serious head and pelvic injuries.
“Both had to be cut from the car by Ambulance Rescue paramedics before being airlifted by helicopter to a Sydney hospital.
"The driver of the four-wheel-drive was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital suffering suspected neck injuries,” Insp Johnson said.
