THE Candelo-Bemboka Panthers Rugby League Club will officially launch its season at the Bemboka Hotel tonight (Friday) from 7.30pm.

The club is hosting a special launch to show off jerseys, team rosters and plans for the year, but also to introduce the highly anticipated Pink Panthers league-tag team.
Officials from the club said everyone is welcome and was urging sponsors and supporters alike to head along to the Bemboka Hotel and join in the celebrations.
“Not only will our 2015 regular season playing strip be on display, we will also be showing off our new ladies Pink Panthers league-tag strip,” club president Dave Allen said.
“We would like to show off all our new club gear with all our new sponsors which is to be modelled by players.”
Allen will have a president’s speech on the night and supporters can also expect to hear a few words from the club’s coaches.
The evening will also be an excellent way of welcoming new first grade coach Jake McDonald to the area.
Special Candelo, green and gold, and Bemboka, black and white hoops, jerseys will also be on display that the club has created for its heritage day, to be held at Candelo on April 11.
“The day will celebrate not only the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Candelo club, but also the 50th anniversary on the 1965 Group 16 first grade grand final where Candelo beat Bemboka 17-9 at the Bega Showground,” Allen said.
There will be a free sausage sizzle for all players, supporters and sponsors, and club merchandise will also be available to be purchased on the night.
Entry to the night is free and all are welcome.
“Come along and support your local footy club,” Allen said.
“The more, the merrier.”
The players will hold a training session prior to the launch and will all be in attendance on the night.
The club will get its first run on the park at the Group 16 Nines tournament to be held in Eden on March 15.
