The annual fundraiser for the Bega Oncology Unit and Pinc is being held at Oaklands Event Centre in Pambula on March 21 from 7.30pm.
Following on the heels last year’s Pink and Black Ball, this year it’s all about the 1950s and ‘60s and genuine rock ’n’ roll.
Live music from Shadoogie will get you twisting on the dance floor, but there is plenty of entertainment on offer for guests.
Organiser Glenn Cotter, from the Pambula Bike Show, said to continue the cocktail theme of previous events, finger food will circulate throughout the night after a complimentary glass of pink bubbly on arrival sets the mood.
“It was a great success last year and we’re looking at a good fun night again this time,” Mr Cotter said.
“There will be a heap of raffles and the lucky door prize is a weekend for two in a luxury suite thanks to Rydges Horizons Jindabyne.”
Mr Cotter said there are also travel vouchers from Flight Centre and a jewellery set from Merimbula Jewellers on offer as spot prizes among many more thanks to generous sponsors.
Among the major sponsors, Mr Cotter particularly thanked Bega Cheese for coming on board this year.
Meanwhile, country music fans won’t want to miss a chance at the silent auction to be held on the night, with the major item an Ashton acoustic guitar signed by Australian country music legends Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Luke O’Shea, The Sunny Cowgirls and Libby O’Donovan.
Funds raised on the night will be split evenly between the Bega Oncology Unit and the Pinc cancer support program.
“This year the major focus is the new hospital,” Mr Cotter said.
“The new oncology unit will have a lovely outdoor balcony so we are looking at supplying outdoor furnishings.
“We are really excited about our talks with a national company who is keen to come on board with this – but that announcement will be made on the night!”
