Club spokesman Joe Weller said a good crowd of over 100 showed their support for the McGrath Foundation on the day.
“They came in from all around the local area,” Mr Weller said.
The club aimed to raise $1000 on the day.
Donations and the sale of pink wrist bands had about $400 in the tin before the match even got under way Mr Weller said.
The club also chose to donate the proceeds from the barbecue to the cause.
“The day was a smashing success with the Kameruka Cricket Club raising $1410 towards the McGrath Foundation.”
The day featured pink caps, pink stumps and even a pink beard.
Inclusions to the kitty also came from players achieving different feats on the field Mr Weller said.
“[We had] various fines from dropped catches, wickets taken and runs scored,” he said with a laugh.
Local Breast Care nurse Jenny Garner was invited to speak ahead of the match and oversee the coin toss for the game.
In her address, Ms Garner thanked everyone for turning out and supporting the cause.
“People just get it, they get it that they’re raising money to place a nurse in regional areas to help families – so thank you,” she said.
Ms Garner said fundraising events like the one at Kameruka had culminated in the provision of nearly 110 breast care nurses around the country.
She said she was the 12th or 13th in Australia and had been “knocking around for some time”.
“But I love my job and it’s very rewarding ... I say that the breast care nurse is your go to person during this experience.
“It is very reassuring to know there is a specialist nurse in your corner and there is no time limit for how long the nurses can be involved for.
“Its just there for what people need, which is the great thing about it.”
Ms Garner went on to say she could answer any questions people might have and would be around after the game.
Speaking of the game, which was a C grade one-dayer, Bemboka won the day by 60 runs.
“Bemboka came and took the points winning by 60 runs led by their captain Blake Grant top- scoring with 91,” Mr Weller said.
A number of people baked and donated pink cupcakes for sale and the barbecue also did exceptionally well on the day.
Mr Weller said he was overwhelmed by the support from the community and was delighted to smash the club’s target.
“Kameruka Cricket Club would like to thank the community for getting behind this great cause,” he said.
