“This is a unique opportunity to see on stage some of the legends of Irish music as they kick off an Australian tour that will take them to other major festivals and venues around the country,” festival director Dave Crowden said.
The Heartstring Quartet are iconic guitarist Arty McGlynn and his virtuoso fiddle playing partner Nollaig Casey, joined by her sister, the doyenne of Irish harpists Maire Ni Chathasaigh, as well as by the UK’s finest flat picking guitarist and mandolinist Chris Newman.
The quartet joins other headliners including outstanding singer-songwriter Archie Roach, Shellie Morris, Ami Williamson, Fiona Boyes, former Steeleye Span guitarist Ken Nichol, Bega Valley’s own Daniel Champagne and many, many more.
“As is fitting for the 20th anniversary of this wonderful, friendly festival, we have put together one of our strongest ever artistic programs,” Crowden said.
The festival runs from February 27 to March 1 in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia.
